I believe that our current relationships and ways of solving problems are often influenced by past events and how we understood them at that time. I am interested in the way we unwittingly repeat these patterns we learned in childhood during adulthood, even if they may no longer be helpful, or even if they play a part in maintaining our current problems. By recognizing these patterns and understanding what triggers them, how they were formed, we come to understand ourselves and the source of our issues. Moreover, we can be in a better position to understand our strengths and limitations, our possibilities and choices. Therapy can help you to make meaning of situations, new ways of thinking and acting that can help lead to a more fulfilling life.

Psychotherapy is a collaborative relationship where the therapist and the client work together to understand the client`s issues deeper in order to bring change and healing. Therapy offers a space where you can look at your life difficulties, meanings, relationships; it may give you courage and deeper understanding to reflect on your world and yourself.

In a psychotherapeutic relationship, my aim is to create a safe, empathic and non-judgmental environment where you can open yourself freely, understand your life`s difficulties and gain insight into yourself. My role is not to give advice or bring solutions, but to help you connect to your own wisdom and inner strength, which can guide you through your life. I am a  Humanistic-Existential psychotherapist,  offering  psychotherapy and counselling to individuals face to face and online, in Turkish and English. I Complement my approach with Art therapy, Body Awareness, Mindfulness and meditation. I abide by the Code of Ethics of the British Association of Counselling (BACP).
