MY STORY
Being happy does not mean that everything is perfect.
It means that you have decided to look beyond the imperfections.
Gerard Way
I am a fully BACP accredited psychotherapist based in North and East London, holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling and a BA degree in philosophy. I am currently studying for a doctorate degree in Existential Psychotherapy at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling. Alongside with my academic studies, my interest in transpersonal theory drove me to practice meditation and yoga for many years and train in meditation, breathwork and mindfulness which also enriches my therapeutic work.
I was inspired to become a psychotherapist after working in different areas, having experiences from various walks of life and witnessing people`s suffering. The suffering did not entirely come from outside, but it was also coming from person`s internal world; how it was perceived and what meaning it was given.
The second reason for becoming a psychotherapist emerged from my own personal experience of therapy as a client. Therapy had such a profound impact on understanding myself deeply and improving my relationship with myself and others. I want to support others through their healing process in the same way. I believe that a real change occurs from inside and I am willing to assist you on your self-journey and hold the light when the time feels dark.
I started my work in 2015 and have experience working with individuals who have brought a range of life issues both from the past and the present. These have included childhood trauma, domestic violence, difficulties in relationships, having panic attacks, depression, anxiety and stress, sexual or other abuses, loss and grief, feelings of low self-esteem, difficulty in making life choices. I am particularly interested in working with people who have different cultural backgrounds.
I believe no matter how hard our current conditions are, we always have inner sources and wisdom that can lead us to heal ourselves and to bring changes that we want into our life.
